Communication is an essential part of everyday life. We spend around 97% in using non-verbal communication, and 3% of verbal communication in our daily life.

Formal communication channel

A type of presentation or document sharing information or message and comply with the established rules of professional standards and processes.  

There are 3 directions of formal communications

 

·         ★Downward communication

A communication starts from higher levels to the lower levels of the organization.

 

·        ★Upward communication

A communication starts from lower levels to the higher levels of the organization.

 

·       ★ Horizontal communication

A communication is between the departments as mean of coordinating theirs activities, for information exchange. It occurs across in same levels.

Informal communication channels

A type of information sharing especially used in with a friend or family member in an informal way and informal language which contains slang words. In a commercial environment, sometimes also referred to as informal communication grapevine may be observed to occur in the conversation, e-mail, text messaging and social networking between employees phone.
